OrigamiUSA is committed to continuously improving services to our members as part of our mission of sharing the joy of paperfolding. We know that many of our members would like to attend Convention but can’t. So we are offering a way for you to join us, even if you can’t attend in person: online classes. Via streaming technology, you will be able to join selected classes remotely, with the ability to direct questions to the instructor and to interact with the other class attendees as you would in on-site classes.
As an OrigamiUSA member, you can register for an online class for a nominal $10 fee. You will receive an email with details, guidelines and instructions related to the class. You will need a computer connected to the Internet and a browser that supports the streaming platform (Adobe Connect; test instructions will be included in the email). Note: As we all know, web systems can misbehave in unexpected ways. If there is a problem with your experience, your money will be refunded.
We tried out online classes for the first time a few years ago. They were a success, and we’ve made these a permanent (and growing) feature of our conventions. We hope you will join us in the joy of folding.
These classes work like our Origami Connect classes. You can view the class in real time and also be able to view it after the event. When you sign up, you will receive the link for the live event and then later, the recording link.
